Mike Fola Dokunmu

Fola Dokunmu is base in South Africa and has over 18 years experience in the soccer industry first as a player, then in coaching, talent identification, sports management and branding for athletes, also in sports organizations and corporate looking to invest in sports and sponsorships.

Well known to the South Africans as "Mike Fola" within the soccer fraternity as a Sports Consultant with the personal touch that makes the connection with the right people at the right place and making a difference that goes a long way. Fola is our company`s Technical and administrative director in charge of our global operations. His indepth knowledge of the game and superb administrative skills has endeared him to all our players, staff and clubs alike.

Amongst his coaching experiences in the Soccer industry includes privilege to be part of the premier league Supersport United FC of South Africa Cup winning team as support technical staff in 2004/2005 and winning the Men's Vodacom league (2nd Division) in the Northern Cape and qualifying for the National play-off in 2005/2006 with Cemforce FC as Technical Director/Head Coach. Currently, Technical Director and Head Coach of the Van Gyl Academy in Johannesburg, South Africa and a director and CEO of our Southern African partnering company, Sports Midfield Agency. www.sportsmidfield.co.za

Fola is qualified with N.I.S Coaching diploma and SAFA level 2 coaching licence, whilst under Supersport United FC he attained KNVB Coaching licence comparable UEFA B course, with elements of A- and Pro-level (especially the analysis of Pro-matches and special topics are on highest level). And the FA 'UEFA B' International Licence.

He is an official member of the National Soccer Coaches Association of America "NSCAA".

Fola is the first SA sports agent to give due recognition to South African Women soccer. His recent exposure of African women soccer talents to overseas professional Clubs has earned him recognition and respect in international sports business scene having shown genuine interest in youth developments across gender barrier and offering exceptional young talents the opportunity to be seen  and compete globally.

With such vast experience in a challenging career having worked with professional soccer clubs and youth academy structures, he possesses very strong match analysis acumen, conversant in individual, group and team tactics methods of coaching, with skills and strategies for sports marketing and management, and identifying exceptional talents, excellent organizational, analytical, communication skills and team management with self-motivated personality.
